Our camping pods is a well-built, natural-wooden garden house. There are several sizes from 3 m to 4.8 m in length. They are easy to transport, lay down on a flat surface and enjoy.
WOOD: The camping pod is made from pinewood or thermo pinewood. Renewable European pines are among the most commercially important tree species valued for their timber qualities throughout the world. Pinewood is light with regular texture, appreciated for their pleasant smell. Pines are denser, resinous, and therefore more durable than spruce. Pine wood is flexible to use, suitable for thermal and chemical modification, and therefore is widely used in construction and furniture industries.
All modification techniques improve wood properties, such as moisture absorption, dimensional stability, biological durability, hardness and color. Modified wood products are ideally suited for challenging environments and changing climate conditions.
Thermo modified pinewood is a natural choice for end users where long term durability and dimensional stability are desired. It is a great material for products affected by changing climate conditions, which have an influence on exterior claddings and garden structures. For the interiors, the attractive brown appearance and removal of resin makes the product a good choice for use in pods.
Thermo pinewood is produced using high temperature and steam. Since no chemicals are added during the process, it contains only renewable substances. As a result of the thermo wood process, the dimensional stability, biological durability and insulation properties are permanently improved. The properties are consistent throughout the entire cross-section.

ROOF: For camping pod roofing SBS modified and fiber glass 120 g/m² reinforced bitumen shingles are used. The SBS modification adds flexibility, application strength and durability to the membranes of the shingles. The top layer of the membranes is surfaced with mineral granules. The shade of the granules is obtained from natural materials, therefore extremely long-lasting color of the shingles is guaranteed. The bottom layer of the shingles is coated with adhesive bitumen. On the sun heat, overlapping shingles stick to each other forming a hydro-insulating layer, which ensures excellent leak resistance of the roof. During installation, the shingles need to be nailed without removing the protective silicone membrane.
WINDOWS : Pod has 1 double glazed opening window in the back wall, which provides light into the pod and can be used for ventilation. Window maintains hermetic characteristics and serves for a long time. As decoration elements thin wooden cross sticks are attached to the window on the outside.
DOOR: Camping pod has French style double glazed doors made from finger-jointed pinewood. The door set consists of a door frame, a door leaf, 2 glass units, 2 adjustable hinges, a lock and a handle. Camping pod door is firm, made of multi-layer glued pinewood; therefore it does not crack or warp. The door frames are of 45 mm thickness.
Foundation: Make sure to prepare firm and smooth foundation for the camping pod. Terrace, cement base, tiles, stones serve well for this purpose as long as flat and even surface is formed. Good foundation ensures stability and durability of the camping pod.
Pod maintenance: Pine wood for its physical characteristics is an ideal raw material for the construction – it is strong and is easy to recycle. It maintains good thermal insulation, prevents condensation and thus creates a healthy indoor climate. However, in order to preserve the beauty and functionality of the camping pod, it is necessary to properly look after the timber. On-going maintenance of the wooden pod is essential in order to ensure a long service life.
Maintaining your camping pod externally not only preserves its life-span, but also keeps it looking good. Changing weather conditions may change its appearance. Large and small cracks, color tone changes, as well as altering structure of the wood is a result of a natural cause.
In order to ensure long service life of a camping pod, it is necessary immediately to process it with wood impregnations. Professionally selected suitable coatings reduce the swelling and shrinkage of the wood. Camping pod must be re-painted according to manufacturer’s instructions of used impregnation agent’s. Nevertheless, we recommend inspecting the pod at least once a year.
